I am aware of the importance of drinking water and remaining hydrated, but I wonder how does it help to lose weight…

I’ve been told that in order to lose weight i have to drink as much water as humanly possible, somebody else said to me I should drink 2 gallons per day — is this true? does it help to drink that much water?

Water is the healthiest thing to drink. It doesn’t have sugar or carbs or anything in it. So it wil not make you gain any weight unlike sodas or juice. It also helps flush out your body of all the toxins in you’re body. It also helps you pee easier so you empty out all of you’re waste. It is also good for you’re skin. It keeps you’re skin healty and can help treat acne.

I was told by a counselor at a spa that drinking warm to hot water is better for the body than drinking cold water. She used the analogy that hot water is used in washing dishes to get them clean therefore drinking hot water is better for the purification of one’s body. Does this have any credence?

Interesting. Ive recently wanted to do a Toxin cleanse. Honestly, I refuse to believe anything I read on the Net. So where does one turn, except to a Natural path who is going to charge you lots of money.

I have heard the Acai berry is good but that the total body cleanse is a scam. How is one to know?

Does it aid weight loss or something?

It like helps get rid of unwanted toxins in your liver - acts as a detox if that makes sense…

For years I've heard of all the wonderful benefits of drinking plenty of water everyday. I've just started doing this due to a kidney stone - I usually manage the recommended 2 quarts per day.

What I want to know is when will I start seeing these benefits? Weight loss, better skin, better hair, etc.?

And for that matter, what other things can I expect to improve?

I had to start drinking mostly water and lots of it about ten years ago. I don't remember how long it took to see results, but the first change I noticed was the adult acne I had suffered with for years went away and never came back. I also started sleeping better, and I stopped having as many head aches and PMS related issues.

For my children, making them drink plenty of water takes a lot of effort, especially in the summer when they're busy playing outside. Several years ago, my son was constantly getting severely painful tummy aches. One night we had to rush him to the E.R because he was writhing in pain. The Doctor examined him thoroughly and then asked him if he was thirsty. My son said yes he was, but hadn't really noticed it until he was asked. The doctor hooked up an I.V. of fluid, and within fifteen minutes the tummy ache was gone. The Doc said that he had several children come into the E.R. every day during the summers for dehydration related stomach aches (there was a kid in the next room who was there for the same thing).

My husband and I were really upset, because we never let our children drink anything but water and we felt like we were always pushing it on them. The Doc recommended that we get our son his own water bottle and have him carry it outside with him whenever he plays. After that, he hasn't had a single stomach ache.

With new tub, new hot water heater and a whole house reverse osmosis filter seems it shouldn’t. Starts off clear and gets ruddy towards end of fill. What can I do to solve problem? Would appreciate any input - thanks.

This is probably happening because of old pipes in the house. Hot Spring Spas makes an attachment that will catch all of that metal debris and help purify the water before it goes in your tub…. its called a pre filter. We have the same problem in my spa showroom when we are filling spas. Use that pre filter…. no more problems. Theyre 50-60 bucks… totally worth it.

I have been having a hard time trying to make my husband understand the importance of drinking water and eating veggies. I place veggies in all my meals that I cook, and all he does is scrape them all the corner of his plate. I make tacos…he just wants meat, cheese, salsa and sour cream. I make burgers…he just wants meat, cheese and sauce. I know that it’s important to consume water and veggies, but I would like to know exactly what happens if you don’t. My husband is known for going to the bathroom several times throughout the day, and it always smells like someone died when he leaves. (SERIOUSLY). Could this have something to do with it? Please give me some good answers because I plan on confronting him and forcing him to do something about his eating behavior. I want a healthy husband! HELP!

Sounds like his digestion is good if he’s going several times a day (that is healthy by the way) and poop is foul smelling and vegetables actually add to feces stench, the only thing that i would be concerned with is cholesterol…have him get a check up and have blood-work done.

Soaking in hot mineral springs are very relaxing and supposedly you can absorb the minerals in the water. The springs are usually kept hot because the water comes from deep in the earth where it is heated by geothermic heat. They can be found all over the world and aren’t necessarily associated with volcanoes.

A few years back I spent few days in Bursa, Turkey which is a well known for its hot springs. We soaked in the hot water then cooled off in icy showers. A few times of this a day and I was so relaxed I never slept better in my life. If you have a chance to go to a hot springs you will enjoy it.
